Filmed during the summer of 2009 and set in a projective future, the video frames the emergent neo-nativist discourse of the Tea Party within the historical relationships between economic stagnation, political disillusionment, and violence. Adopting the the anxious pacing and glib prognoses of cable news, 2011 Flyover uses these conventions to interrogate the paucity of analysis when confronted with the limitations of a binary political system.
